InterContinental Maldives Enhances Sleep Well Experiences for World Sleep Day 2026

In recognition of World Sleep Day on 13 March 2026, InterContinental Maldives Maamunagau Resort is launching an expanded range of sleep-focused wellness offerings, reflecting the growing global emphasis on restorative travel and mindful living.

Building on its existing Sleep Well programme, the resort introduces a new Sleep Well Turndown Programme. This curated evening ritual engages the five senses to guide guests toward deeper, more restorative sleep. From dimmed lighting and naturally breathable linens to calming aromatherapy, tranquil soundscapes, and indulgent dark chocolate, each element is carefully designed to prepare the mind and body for rest in the serene island environment.

Guests can further enhance their sleep experience with the resort’s Sleep Enhancement Kit, which includes soothing oils, pillow mist, aromatherapy balms, and calming candles, enabling a peaceful bedtime routine that continues beyond their stay.

To mark the occasion, AVI Spa presents a dedicated Sleep Week Programme from 13 – 19 March 2026, offering structured wellness experiences to help guests restore natural sleep patterns. Highlights of the programme include:

The Sleep Guru Programme
A multi-day guided wellness journey combining therapeutic treatments, relaxation techniques, and personalised sleep-support rituals to enhance deep recovery and emotional balance.

Nightly Sleep Ritual with Visiting Practitioner Brad Reed
An evening session featuring gentle bodywork, guided breathwork, and a soothing sound bath to settle the nervous system into deep rest.

Sleep Enhancement Kit
A curated in-villa collection designed to quiet the mind and create an ideal pre-sleep environment.

Set against the tranquil surroundings of Raa Atoll, where natural calm meets intuitive hospitality, these offerings exemplify a modern approach to luxury, where true indulgence lies in the ability to rest deeply and awaken refreshed.
