Sun Siyam Group and its Founder and Chairman, Ahmed Siyam Mohamed, were honoured with multiple international recognitions at the Global Peace Hospitality Summit & Awards 2025 held in Dubai. The event, hosted by the Global Peace Institute (UK) in collaboration with Impact Hub UAE, brought together more than 200 industry leaders and delegates from over 46 countries under the theme “Peace Through Hospitality.”
At the prestigious ceremony, Mr. Siyam was presented with three of the evening’s highest distinctions — the Golden Sail of Distinction and two Lifetime Achievement Awards for Hospitality & Service Excellence and for Entrepreneurship & Business Innovation — becoming the only individual to receive all three accolades. These awards highlighted his decades of dedication to shaping the Maldives into a leading global tourism destination and his ongoing commitment to national progress, philanthropy, and youth development. His leadership continues to exemplify how business success can align with sustainability and social responsibility to create lasting positive impact.
Sun Siyam Group also received six major awards across its resort portfolio, reinforcing its reputation as a pioneer in sustainable luxury and peace-oriented hospitality. The recognized properties included Siyam World Maldives, named the World’s Leading Lifestyle Resort; Sun Siyam Pasikudah, Sri Lanka, which received Luxury Beachfront Retreat of the Year; Sun Siyam Vilu Reef, which earned the Peaceful Indulgence Award; Sun Siyam Iru Fushi, recognized as a Luxury Peace Retreat; Sun Siyam Iru Veli, awarded Maldives’ Leading All-Inclusive Luxury Resort; and Sun Siyam Olhuveli, celebrated as the Indian Ocean’s Leading Family Lifestyle Resort.
Accompanying Mr. Siyam at the ceremony were his wife, Madam Soukayna Hadfi, Vice President of Operations Abdulla Thamheed, Assistant Group General Manager and Sun Siyam Olhuveli General Manager Hassan Adil, along with members of the brand’s Middle East sales and public relations teams, representing the enduring spirit of Maldivian hospitality.
The event also marked the launch of the Golden Wing of Peace Movement — a new global platform designed to unite leaders, creators, and organizations around conscious leadership and community-focused business practices. The evening featured two “Wings of Harmony” fashion showcases by Egyptian designer Nadine Ellithy, representing compassion, culture, and creativity as universal values of peace. A keynote address by General Dr. Mohammed Al Shamsi highlighted the UAE’s emerging role as a model for coexistence and unity on the global stage.
Organized by the Global Peace Institute (UK), an independent non-profit committed to peace, diplomacy, and education, the summit has previously been held in cities including London, Scotland, Singapore, Malaysia, and Thailand. Its Dubai edition underscored the deepening connection between hospitality and mindful leadership.
For Sun Siyam, the recognitions represent more than awards — they symbolize a legacy rooted in Maldivian values, purposeful hospitality, and mindful luxury. The honours reaffirm the brand’s enduring dedication to creating meaningful experiences built on welcome, integrity, and connection.
