InterContinental Maldives Announces New Director of Commercial

Nika Kim takes on the leadership role, bringing nearly a decade of experience in luxury tourism and hospitality.

InterContinental Maldives Maamunagau Resort has announced the promotion of Nika Kim to Director of Commercial, effective September 2025. With over nine years of experience in luxury tourism and hospitality, Nika has established herself as a leader in driving revenue growth, building strategic partnerships, and delivering exceptional guest experiences across the Maldives and beyond.

Since joining InterContinental Maldives in 2024 as Director of Sales, Nika has played a key role in enhancing the resort’s commercial success and market visibility. Her leadership has been central to developing innovative sales and revenue strategies, strengthening relationships with major international partners, and fostering strong collaboration between commercial and operational teams.

In her new role, Nika will continue to oversee the resort’s commercial division, focusing on advancing sales initiatives and revenue performance. She will also work closely with InterContinental’s global and regional leadership teams to further solidify the resort’s reputation as one of the Maldives’ premier luxury destinations.

Reflecting on her appointment, Nika said:

Nika’s career includes senior roles at renowned luxury resorts such as Alila Kothaifaru Maldives, Ayada Maldives, and Grand Park Kodhipparu Maldives. Earlier in her career, she worked in guest relations and destination management in South Korea. She holds academic qualifications in Education, Law, and Public Administration, and is fluent in Russian, English, and Korean.

Her appointment reflects InterContinental Maldives Maamunagau Resort’s ongoing commitment to excellence and its focus on reinforcing its standing as one of the leading luxury destinations in the Maldives.
