Amilla Maldives is set to welcome two acclaimed Visiting Practitioners in 2025, each bringing a unique approach to holistic healing as part of the resort’s seasonal wellness offerings. From 08 August to 20 September, Shyam, a practitioner from the Himalayas, will offer a series of personalized treatments rooted in Ayurvedic tradition. Drawing on his background in Ayurveda, Yoga, Sound Healing, acupuncture, massage therapy, and energy work, Shyam’s sessions are tailored to promote emotional balance, mental clarity, and physical restoration.

Guests can choose from a variety of therapies during Shyam’s residency, including Massage Alchemy, a custom therapeutic experience; Ayurvedic Rebalancing combined with Sound Healing; Cupping Therapy Massage; Reiki Healing; and Himalayan Sound Healing. In addition to one-on-one treatments, the program will include daily mindful movement classes such as Classical Hatha Yoga, guided meditation, and Aerial Yoga. For those seeking a more immersive experience, specialized retreats focused on Detox and Rejuvenation, Stress Management, or Longevity are available, all beginning with an individualized Ayurvedic wellness consultation.

Following Shyam’s stay, from 20 September to 07 December, Ecuadorian practitioner Kattia Mendoza will take over the wellness programming. With more than a decade of global experience, Kattia will offer private sessions that combine somatic movement, osteo-Thai therapy, breathwork, and conscious communication. Her signature treatments include Osteo-Thai Therapy—a synthesis of Thai massage, osteopathy, and acupressure—and The Nervous System Reset, a breath-led session incorporating acupressure and vocal humming techniques.

Kattia will also lead customized movement classes such as Back in Shape and Hips Opening, along with Somatic Breath Meditation and Unmasking coaching designed to support emotional release and self-discovery. Complimentary introductory sessions and group classes will further enhance the sense of community and inner awareness among guests.

These back-to-back residencies reinforce Amilla Maldives’ dedication to providing meaningful and restorative wellness journeys. By hosting globally respected practitioners, the resort continues to create opportunities for long-term wellbeing through deeply personal and transformative experiences.
