A new level of luxury travel in the Maldives is set to be introduced with the opening of the ultra-exclusive private islands of .Here, scheduled to welcome guests starting December 2025. This private island retreat aims to raise the bar for contemporary luxury travelers by offering seamless, intuitive service, transformative experiences, and complete privacy. Spread across two natural islands named Somewhere and Nowhere, .Here will appeal to the world’s most discerning guests, providing understated luxury infused with a sense of playful enjoyment, where each visitor’s needs are placed front and center.

Situated within a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve famed for its exceptional snorkeling and diving opportunities, and rich marine biodiversity, the islands will feature nine residences alongside a dedicated bar and restaurant serving inventive global fusion cuisine. Guests of .Here will also have access to the facilities of the nearby Finolhu Baa Atoll property, allowing them to blend tranquil privacy with lively adventure and freedom of movement.

The architectural design by KulörGroup embraces the islands’ narrow natural shape, catering specifically to the desires of elite travelers who seek a harmonious balance of experiences. Visitors will be able to witness both sunrise and sunset from their private residences while enjoying the blend of lush jungle canopy and the Maldives’ iconic turquoise waters. This duality forms the core philosophy of the brand, setting it apart from other luxury destinations.

The island called Somewhere offers expansive residences that stretch across the island’s entire width, combining overwater and beachfront villa concepts to deliver the ultimate Indian Ocean living experience. These two-story villas showcase impressive 47-meter suspended sky infinity pools with waterfalls as their centerpiece. Five of these villas feature three ensuite bedrooms, accommodating up to eight adults, with indoor and outdoor living areas, a bar, a fully equipped kitchen, outdoor Big Green Egg grills, and more than 1,200 square meters of living space. The remaining two villas are even larger, offering four bedrooms to house up to eleven adults within 1,400 square meters. Amenities include a water sports center with motorized and non-motorized options, dedicated Roohu butlers, Dyson hairdryers and airwraps, plus round-the-clock in-villa dining.

Nowhere consists of two main residences designed to be rented as complete private estates, ushering in a new standard of exclusivity. The first is a striking overwater villa spanning 1,000 square meters with three bedrooms and a private 15-meter swimming pool. The standout property, however, is the five-bedroom Presidential villa, covering 2,400 square meters, featuring a 28-meter pool and a private beach, accommodating up to 24 adults. Nowhere also hosts Fehi Spa and the resort’s fitness center, making it a comprehensive private sanctuary.

Fehi Wellness, named after the local Dhivehi word for “green,” is located on Nowhere and offers a couples’ treatment room and a yoga chamber exclusively for its residents. Guests on Somewhere can enjoy all spa treatments within the comfort of their own villas. Fehi’s wellness programs are entirely bespoke, blending ancient traditional therapies with cutting-edge technologies delivered by world-class experts. Signature treatments include heated salt stone massages, cold jade nephrite stone therapy, and aquatic plantar reflexology.

The property’s exclusive butler service, called Roohu—meaning “soul” in Dhivehi—provides personalized and discreet hospitality to every residence. The service focuses on crafting unique, tailored experiences that respect the individuality of each guest’s wishes.

Dining at .Here takes place at the overwater restaurant and bar, Safar, meaning “journey” in Dhivehi. The culinary offerings are carefully curated to satisfy all tastes at any time of day. Resident chefs are available around the clock to design custom menus, which can be enjoyed privately in villas or at the restaurant. The menu ranges from fine dining to casual options such as beach picnics and villa deck barbecues, delivering a full sensory gastronomic experience.

The interiors and overall design have been expertly developed by the award-winning British studio Muza Lab, led by Inge Moore and Nathan Hutchins, known for creating some of the world’s most remarkable spaces. Their work here draws inspiration from natural textures, shapes, and colors, incorporating local Maldivian elements like carved timbers, stone, marble, Dhoni boats, and Feyli sarongs to reflect the island’s cultural heritage.

.Here can be accessed via a scenic 30-minute seaplane journey directly from Velana International Airport in Malé. For further details, visit here-maldives.com.
