InterContinental Maldives Maamunagau Resort will host renowned Chef Tom Aikens, celebrated for his two-Michelin-star expertise, for an exclusive culinary residency from December 26, 2025, to January 6, 2026. This collaboration enhances the resort’s reputation for exceptional gastronomy, bringing Aikens’ modern European cuisine to the Maldives’ stunning shores. At The Lighthouse, the resort’s iconic overwater restaurant, Aikens, supported by the resort’s skilled culinary team, will present a series of curated fine-dining experiences, masterclasses, and a unique private yacht dining event during the festive season.
Available to all guests booking for this period, the program features a variety of exclusive events. On December 28 and 29, Aikens will offer a tasting menu at The Lighthouse, highlighting his commitment to seasonal ingredients and sophisticated flavors. On December 29, guests can participate in an interactive cooking class at The Collective, learning professional techniques and preparing one of Aikens’ signature dishes alongside the chef. On January 1, two guests will enjoy a private yacht dining experience, welcoming the New Year with a bespoke menu served under the stars. New tasting menus will be presented at The Lighthouse on January 2 and 3, catering to both returning and new diners. The residency concludes on January 6 with an island-style buffet dinner at Café Umi, featuring live stations and a special dish crafted and presented by Aikens.
