The fund targets initiatives that reflect JOALI’s four guiding principles:

  • Joy of Preserving: Projects like reef restoration and environmental education to protect the atoll’s ecosystem.
  • Joy of Nurturing: Efforts to promote physical, mental, and emotional well-being.
  • Joy of Empowering: Programs supporting women’s education, vocational training, and social entrepreneurship.
  • Joy of Conserving: Initiatives focused on waste reduction, ethical sourcing, and conserving water and energy.

Rooted in the ethos of “Joy of Caring,” JOALI’s commitment to sustainability is guided by the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals. This philosophy drives every facet of the brand’s operations, fostering positive impacts on guests, staff, local communities, and the environment. As a leader in responsible hospitality, JOALI integrates sustainability into its luxury experience, uplifting Raa Atoll through meaningful initiatives.
