The MS Insignia, a cruise liner sailing from La Digue in Seychelles, recently docked in the Maldives, bringing with it a significant number of visitors. According to a statement from Immigration, a total of 982 individuals—comprising 576 passengers and 406 crew members—were granted immigration clearance upon arrival.

Immigration officials from the Sea Port Division worked diligently between March 1st and 8th to complete en-route clearance for the vessel. The agency emphasized its ongoing commitment to providing clearance services for all cruise lines arriving in the Maldives, a popular destination especially during the summer, New Year, and festive seasons.

This year, other notable cruise lines have also brought large groups of tourists to the Maldives. Among them are the Marshall Islands-registered Oceania Riviera, as well as the Bahamas-registered Norwegian Sky and Crystal Symphony, all contributing to the influx of visitors.

The arrival of MS Insignia highlights the Maldives' appeal as a key stop for international cruise liners, with Immigration ensuring smooth entry for hundreds of passengers and crew alike.
