The Intercontinental Maldives Maamunagau Resort is rolling out a special series of events to mark the Eid holidays, inviting guests to immerse themselves in a mix of cultural festivities, artistic pursuits, and serene relaxation. Set against the breathtaking Indian Ocean, the program features ocean-inspired activities, wellness sessions, creative workshops, mesmerizing performances, and delightful dining experiences along the shore.

Wellness takes center stage during Eid, a season of renewal, with offerings designed to refresh the mind, body, and spirit. Guests can enjoy sound healing, cupping massages, breathwork, and meditation guided by a certified Yoga and Fitness Instructor from India. These rejuvenating sessions provide a perfect opportunity for reflection and balance amidst the Maldives’ tranquil beauty.

For those eager to explore the island’s marine wonders, the “Ocean Moments” lineup offers family-friendly adventures like parasailing, scuba diving, and a magical dolphin cruise, available every Monday, Thursday, and Saturday. Meanwhile, the resort’s kids’ club, Planet Trekkers, keeps younger guests engaged with hands-on activities such as star coaster resin art, moon-and-stars wind chime crafting, card making, and palm leaf weaving—blending creativity with nature and Maldivian traditions.

The Eid festivities shine with standout events. On March 31, 2025, the Maali Parade at Café Umi Beach brings the island to life with a colorful display of costumed performers, rhythmic drumming, and dynamic dances—a true Maldivian spectacle. That same evening, the Arabian Beach BBQ Dinner offers a starlit feast of Arabian-inspired cuisine, complete with live music and performers. For a more intimate experience, couples can opt for a private dinner at The Lighthouse restaurant, featuring a dedicated chef and waiter, available on March 29, 30, and April 1.

Creativity flourishes through a partnership with resident artist Anastasia Medvedeva, who will lead immersive workshops on epoxy resin art. Guests can craft everything from stylish jewelry to unique artworks, diving into an innovative artistic experience. This cultural program not only celebrates Eid but fosters connection and unity, all while showcasing the resort’s idyllic surroundings.

Rates for an Overwater Sunrise Pool Villa start at USD 1055++ (including breakfast for two). For more details on the Eid festivities, visit the Eid Celebrations page. To book or inquire, check www.maldives.intercontinental.com or email reservations.icmaldives@ihg.com.
