The OUTRIGGER Maldives Maafushivaru Resort is elevating its luxury dining scene by introducing five exclusive overwater dining domes at its standout restaurant, Moodhu Grill. These private pods are crafted to deliver an unforgettable and intimate culinary experience, allowing guests to savor exquisite dishes while perched above a vibrant coral reef, surrounded by stunning panoramic views of the horizon and a star-filled sky.

Moodhu Grill is one of the resort’s five distinct dining venues. For those seeking alternative fine-dining options, Art-I-San offers a romantic setting at the island’s highest point, featuring balcony tables with sweeping views of the moonlit ocean. Meanwhile, Koto serves up Japanese fusion cuisine in a cozy space overlooking a tranquil sunset lagoon.

At Moodhu Grill, the menu showcases a delightful blend of fresh seafood and meats infused with subtle Asian flavors, all presented in a laid-back yet welcoming atmosphere. A standout dish, recommended by the chef, is the Kandu Kukulhu—grilled yellowfin tuna marinated in authentic Maldivian spices. Other notable offerings include Kandai chicken, Seekh Kebab, and Tandoor-baked gobi.

Each overwater dome can seat up to four people, making it a perfect choice for couples or small families. Dining in the domes comes with an additional fee and is available exclusively for dinner, requiring reservations in advance.

Accommodation at the OUTRIGGER Maldives Maafushivaru Resort starts at £574 ($728) per night, providing a luxurious base to enjoy these exceptional dining experiences.
