Sun Siyam Olhuveli has introduced a striking transformation with the unveiling of the Maldives’ longest pool—a remarkable 210m feature—alongside completely refreshed Beach and Sunset Beach Pavilions. These enhancements bring a sophisticated yet accessible guest experience, reimagining beachfront living in the Maldives. Set to welcome guests starting March 1, 2025, this revamped retreat is now open for bookings, appealing to those planning romantic escapes, family trips, or relaxed getaways with friends.
The redesigned pavilions, once known as Deluxe Rooms, now come in two categories: the 40 x Beach Pavilions and the 60 x Sunset Beach Pavilions. These two-story, four-room units emphasize a fluid connection between indoor and outdoor spaces. The Beach Pavilions face the lagoon with direct access to the beach and the new pool, while the Sunset Beach Pavilions offer sweeping ocean and sunset views, overlooking the impressive 210m pool. Private terraces in both options immerse guests in the Maldives’ stunning landscapes of lagoons, beaches, and open water.
Complementing the 210m pool is a second 131m pool, providing plenty of space for unwinding. Both pools, oriented toward the ocean, blend seamlessly with the natural surroundings, and the longer pool features a sunken bar ideal for casual drinks and mingling. These additions enhance Olhuveli’s 24-hour all-inclusive experience, complete with varied dining and unlimited cocktails, ensuring a carefree stay at excellent value. “These updates elevate one of our most sought-after room types, positioning it as the premier choice for an affordable yet luxurious beachfront stay in the Maldives,” says Hassan Adil, Assistant Group General Manager of Sun Siyam Resorts.
The interior overhaul, crafted by London-based Studio Sixty7 over six months, introduces a fresh, contemporary look. Darker hues have been swapped for a light palette of soft greys, natural linens, and rich veined marble tiles in the open-plan bathrooms. This airy design maximizes ocean views, while carefully placed lighting and understated details foster a peaceful, home-like atmosphere. The result is a refined simplicity that blends comfort with a touch of elegance, offering guests a tranquil private retreat.
With the refreshed Beach and Sunset Beach Pavilions and the Maldives’ longest pool, Sun Siyam Olhuveli begins a new era. Whether lounging by the expansive pools, enjoying a drink at the sunken bar, or soaking in terrace vistas, guests can savor an exceptional escape in the heart of the Indian Ocean, where modern design meets effortless relaxation.
