InterContinental Maldives Maamunagau Resort has introduced a new padel court, expanding its island wellness offerings and providing guests with a fresh, active experience in a tropical setting.

With more than 30 million players globally, padel is among the fastest growing sports in the world, recognised for being both accessible and enjoyable for beginners and experienced players. The newly built court is surrounded by Maldivian palm trees and white sand, creating a scenic backdrop for relaxed play and competitive matches alike.

The court is available free of charge to all guests and includes complimentary use of premium rackets and balls, allowing visitors to try the sport in a resort environment. Families are also able to take part in dedicated sessions designed for all age groups, encouraging shared experiences and time together on the court. Seating areas have been placed along the court, giving spectators a comfortable space to watch matches and support players.

Located next to InterContinental Maldives’ fitness centre, which features a state-of-the-art gym, personal training programmes and aerobic workout sessions, the padel court further strengthens the resort’s focus on luxury, wellbeing and curated guest experiences.

Overwater Pool Villa rates start from $1,290++ per night with a range of inclusions. The padel court remains complimentary for guests. Further details are available at www.maldives.intercontinental.com or via reservations.icmaldives@ihg.com.
