Sun Siyam Iru Fushi, the flagship property of the Sun Siyam Luxury Collection, has been named the No. 2 resort in the Maldives in the Travel + Leisure Asia Pacific rankings for Best Family Resorts. The recognition reflects the resort's approach to family travel, centred on delivering experiential and restorative holidays guided by its philosophy of providing A Curated Island Sanctuary, where the pace of slow island living encourages meaningful family connections.

The resort offers a range of Signature Experiences designed to bring families together through shared discovery. Through the Maldivian Roots programme, guests explore traditional cuisine, the Dhivehi language, the artistry of Maldivian currency and the communal spirit of Bodu Beru music. Families can also enjoy a private Cinema by Moonlight under the stars aboard a traditional dhoni. Supported by a personal butler, these experiences remove the practical demands of travel, allowing families to enjoy spontaneous moments such as finding Ice Block on the Go, the resort's signature ice cream tricycle, or taking part in the daily Treasure Hunt.

Wellness is also presented as a shared experience for guests of all ages. While parents enjoy traditional Maldivian therapies using organic, hand-crafted coconut oil or bespoke Ayurvedic healing, children are introduced to self-care through the Sweet Pea Spa. Younger guests can experience gentle massages, cocoa-infused rituals and age-appropriate treatments inspired by the adult spa experience, encouraging an appreciation of well-being in a fun and age-suitable way.

Adventure plays an important role in the family experience, with the warm, shallow waters of Noonu Atoll providing opportunities for parents and children to explore together. Guided marine conservation activities and visits to the resort's sheltered underwater attraction, Nemo Garden, allow families to discover the lagoon's coral ecosystem. Older children and teenagers can also learn the basics of scuba diving through expert-led sessions, experiencing the wonder of "underwater silence" in a safe and controlled environment. The Scuba Explorer programme welcomes children from eight years old.

Every stage of the stay has been designed with comfort in mind, from the private lounge at Velana International Airport to the personalised welcome amenities provided in each villa. Through the 24 Hour Premium All-Inclusive Dine Around experience, multi-generational travellers enjoy sunset cruises and authentic local island excursions, offering an invitation to luxury island living. Younger guests can participate in the Koamas Kidz Club's programme, which focuses on culture, nature and wellness while encouraging outdoor exploration. Interactive educational sessions led by the resident marine biologist and the resort's chef are also available for children and teenagers.

The resort is also offering its Kids Stay & Eat for Free promotion.

"At Sun Siyam our philosophy of 'Attainable Luxury' is rooted in the belief that true indulgence should be inclusive and heartfelt. This summer, we are delighted to offer families a more seamless way to experience our island sanctuary. Our Kids Stay & Eat for Free offer, available for children up to 15 years old, is more than an invitation; it is a commitment to creating space for multi-generational connection, complemented by a bespoke collection of recreational activities designed to enrich every moment of their stay." - Pasan Wijewardana, Cluster Director of Sales and Marketing.
