Sun Siyam has announced a series of leadership appointments across its properties in the Maldives, effective 22 May 2026, further demonstrating its commitment to developing talent from within the organisation while strengthening operational performance throughout its resort portfolio.
Masdhooq Saeed has been promoted to the position of Cluster General Manager for Sun Siyam Iru Veli and Sun Siyam Vilu Reef. In his new role, he will be responsible for the strategic direction, operational performance, guest experience, and overall success of both resorts. Following a successful tenure as General Manager of Sun Siyam Iru Veli, where he demonstrated strong leadership and consistency, Masdhooq assumes broader responsibilities and will work closely with both resort teams to further enhance service standards and support continued growth.
At Sun Siyam Vilu Reef, Ibrahim Baasith has been appointed Director of Operations. A long-serving member of the Sun Siyam family, Baasith began his career with the group in 2009 as a receptionist at Sun Siyam Iru Fushi. He steadily progressed through various positions, ultimately serving as Front Office Manager before taking on the role of Operations Manager at Sun Siyam Olhuveli. Bringing extensive knowledge of the brand and its culture, he now joins Vilu Reef, where he will focus on enhancing the guest experience and contributing to the resort’s ongoing development.
Meanwhile, Ibrahim Jaaweedh has been appointed Operations Manager at Sun Siyam Olhuveli. Having joined the Sun Siyam family in 2010 at Sun Siyam Iru Fushi, Jaaweedh has held a range of guest-facing and leadership positions, including Butler, Front Office Supervisor, and Guest Services Manager. With more than 15 years of experience in luxury hospitality and expertise spanning guest experience, operations, and team development, he takes on his new role with responsibility for supporting the continued delivery of exceptional service and operational excellence at the resort.
