InterContinental Maldives Maamunagau Resort has announced a curated programme of island experiences to celebrate Eid al-Adha on 27 May 2026, centred around togetherness, reflection, wellbeing, and celebration.
Set against the backdrop of the Indian Ocean, the resort’s Eid programme will feature beachfront dining experiences, wellness activities, artistic workshops, and family-focused entertainment designed for guests of all ages.
The evening celebrations will begin with a special Management Cocktail at Café Umi Beach, where guests will be invited to gather for sunset refreshments and relaxed conversations by the shoreline. Guests may then continue the festivities with the Arabian BBQ Beach Dinner, a beachfront dining experience showcasing Arabian-inspired cuisine accompanied by live music, DJ entertainment, and a fire performance beneath the night sky.
For visitors seeking relaxation and wellbeing during the Eid holiday, AVI Spa will introduce personalised wellness experiences led by visiting practitioner Dr. Afsana Aradhana Ghyas. The holistic therapies have been designed to promote balance, relaxation, and inner calm, offering guests an opportunity to reconnect and recharge within the island’s tranquil environment.
Throughout the celebration period, guests selecting certain facial or body therapy treatments will also receive a complimentary 30-minute massage.
As part of the Eid celebrations, the resort will additionally host a resin art experience inspired by ocean textures and Eid traditions. The programme will include live artistic showcases and interactive workshops, allowing guests to create handcrafted keepsakes inspired by the occasion and surrounding natural beauty.
