In recognition of World Art Day, InterContinental Maldives Maamunagau Resort has introduced a new team-driven creative initiative with the launch of the Graffiti Club, a platform focused on artistic expression, collaboration, and storytelling through visual art.
The Graffiti Club brings together more than 18 team members from various departments across the resort, united by a shared interest in creativity. Designated back-of-house areas have been reimagined as dynamic canvases, where functional spaces are transformed into vibrant and meaningful artistic displays.
Drawing inspiration from the natural surroundings of the Maldives and the Maamunagau lagoon, the initial collection of artworks highlights marine life such as manta rays, whale sharks, and sea turtles. These designs reflect both the region’s rich biodiversity and the resort’s close relationship with the ocean. Additional concepts are already being developed, allowing the initiative to progress organically over time.
