Amilla Maldives has been named a joint winner in the Most OutThere Initiative in Inclusive Travel category at the Experientialist® Awards 2026, presented by OutThere. The recognition follows the resort’s Highly Commended mention in the same category last year.

The Experientialist® Awards recognise organisations shaping travel with intention, where inclusivity, individuality, and considered design combine to deliver experiences that are both meaningful and personal. Within this framework, the inclusive travel category highlights those who move beyond basic accessibility to consider how journeys are experienced, navigated, and remembered.

At Amilla, accessibility is integrated into the overall guest journey rather than treated as a separate feature. From initial consultation stages through to the on-island experience, the approach centres on understanding individual guest needs and tailoring each stay to ensure comfort and ease.

Guided by its philosophy of In Harmony with Purpose, the resort continues to develop experiences designed to be thoughtful, accessible, and open to all. This includes carefully planned villa features, accessible pathways, and adaptive activities such as inclusive snorkelling and wellness sessions, each implemented with attention to detail.

As an IncluCare Verified resort, Amilla continues to refine its approach through ongoing feedback and collaboration, reflecting a sustained commitment to making travel more inclusive.

“At Amilla, we believe meaningful travel should feel natural and unrestrictive,” said Morgan Martinello, General Manager of Amilla Maldives. “To see this journey acknowledged again, following last year’s recognition, is something we hold with quiet gratitude.”

With a focus on both people and place, the resort continues to evolve by listening and adapting, ensuring that each guest experience remains intuitive and welcoming. This latest recognition from OutThere, a platform known for celebrating diversity and inclusion in travel, represents another step in that ongoing process.
