Sun Siyam Iru Fushi marks International Women’s Day with the "She Is Hospitality" photo exhibition

In recognition of International Women’s Day 2026 and its global theme, "Give to Gain," Sun Siyam Iru Fushi is presenting "She Is Hospitality" on 8 March. The photo portrait exhibition highlights the distinctive qualities, skills, and values of the women who contribute to the resort’s success, illustrating how a culture of empowerment under the Sun Siyam Care philosophy supports both professional excellence and personal independence.

At the resort’s Diving Centre, Manager Danijela Podlipec conveys the language of the ocean to guests seeking underwater adventures. Her calm demeanor and joyful presence instill safety and a sense of belonging beneath the waves. Within the spa, Assistant Spa Manager Anna Vargas applies her meticulous approach. With eighteen years of experience in the Maldives, she mentors the next generation of therapists, teaching that wellness is a human-centred discipline founded on precision, attention to detail, and individualized care.

Engineering Coordinator Ofimaria Deliva exemplifies the quiet strength behind technical operations. Transitioning from finance to engineering, she demonstrates that no area is “too technical” for those guided by purpose. Similarly, Security Officer Rabina Shrestha navigates the predominantly male domain of security, combining vigilance with a distinct femininity to show that softness and attentiveness coexist gracefully.

The morning at Sun Siyam Iru Fushi begins with the dedication of Kitchen Attendant Mia Sumiati, whose presence and genuine smile provide guests with a welcoming start. Front Office staff member Fathimath Afaa exudes confidence rooted in inner grace, emphasizing that a warm reception reflects one’s own radiant spirit. Butler Ameni Dahmene, with nine years of service, merges her Tunisian heritage with an adventurous spirit, delighting in connecting with visitors from across the globe.

Nancy Castano, Kids Club Supervisor, approaches dance as a medium for healing and self-expression, transforming the Kids Club into a space of joy for young guests. Human Resources Executive Lyrio May channels similar energy, integrating music and Maldivian dance to foster empathy and engagement within the workplace. In Reservations, Radhika Sabharwal guides guests toward their ideal holidays while pursuing her own travels, honoring the legacy of previous generations and embodying the modern, independent woman.

Part of the Luxury Collection of Sun Siyam, Sun Siyam Iru Fushi serves as a platform where talent flourishes and the individuality of every woman is celebrated. Beyond professional responsibilities, these women represent the guiding values, atmospheric architects, and essential spirit of hospitality at the resort.
