Ooredoo Maldives has launched its 2026 calendar, themed “Tea with Ooredoo,” paying homage to the everyday rituals and heartfelt connections that define Maldivian life through the simple act of sharing tea.

Each year, the company’s calendar captures a narrative deeply tied to Maldivian heritage, artistic expression, and communal bonds. For 2026, the focus centres on tea—a timeless custom that bridges generations and unites communities throughout the islands.

In Maldivian homes, tea serves as far more than a beverage; it marks the start of the day, provides a brief respite during hectic schedules, and offers a natural occasion for friends to gather and talk. The familiar greeting “Hingaa sayah?” carries warmth beyond its literal meaning, functioning as a gentle invitation to pause, converse, and strengthen relationships.

Building on this cultural cornerstone, the 2026 calendar presents a distinctive tea blend for each month, drawing from locally sourced flowers, fruits, and herbs commonly enjoyed across the Maldives. Every monthly image beautifully highlights the featured tea flavour.

“At Ooredoo Maldives, we believe that connection is not just about technology, but about people and moments that bring us closer. Tea is one of the simplest yet most meaningful traditions in Maldivian life. Through our 2026 calendar, we wanted to celebrate this everyday moment and reflect our purpose of enriching lives by connecting people in ways that truly matter,” said Khalid Al-Hamadi, CEO and Managing Director of Ooredoo Maldives.

This edition introduces three formats—desk calendar, wall calendar, and digital calendar—giving customers multiple ways to engage with the theme year-round. Consistent with the concept, each month spotlights a specially selected green tea infused with Maldivian fruits and flowers. The desk calendar further enhances the experience by including actual tea formulations for daily enjoyment, adding a tactile and interactive element.

A digital edition is accessible at ore.do/calendar, enabling users to view the artwork across various devices and platforms.

Ooredoo Maldives intends for the 2026 calendar to become a familiar part of daily life, whether placed on a desk, hung on a wall, or opened on a screen, infusing culture, warmth, and a sense of togetherness into every day of the coming year.
