This festive season, Amilla Maldives is set to take guests on a captivating journey across the globe with Around the World in Wonder, a vibrant celebration of culture, joy, and discovery running from 20 December 2025 to 6 January 2026.
Drawing inspiration from Jules Verne’s classic Around the World in 80 Days, the resort’s festive calendar will transport guests through a different country each day, celebrating its unique flavours, rhythms, and traditions. The adventure will begin and conclude in the United Kingdom, with stops in the Maldives, Spain, Italy, France, Argentina, Japan, China, India, Egypt, Brazil, the United States, and Singapore, uniting cultures and experiences in a global celebration that culminates on New Year’s Eve.
The festivities will also coincide with Amilla’s 11th anniversary on 21 December, marked by a series of Maldivian-inspired activities. Guests can look forward to guided island tours, tree planting, coconut painting, traditional cooking demonstrations, and a special cocktail and cake-cutting ceremony to honour the milestone.
On 23 December, the annual Tree Lighting Ceremony will take on an Italian flair through a Venetian-themed evening, complete with mask-making, Viennese waltz, wine tasting, and a grand Venetian Masquerade Ball paired with the Treasure of the Sea dinner. The following day, 24 December, pays tribute to France with The Dance of the Can Can, gingerbread house making, mime face painting, a festive Christmas Eve buffet, and a dazzling aerial hoop performance.
Christmas Day, 25 December, brings the spirit of Argentina to the island with Santa’s arrival and a festive brunch infused with tango flair. The celebration continues with dance workshops, magic shows, and a fiery Tango Dinner Show, combining Latin passion with Christmas joy.
The season’s highlight arrives on 31 December, when Amilla Maldives hosts the Around the World in a Cocktail party, leading into the grand Global Carnival Event. The spectacular evening will feature the Hamilton Band, delivering dynamic vocals alongside energetic bongo rhythms, electrifying saxophone performances, acrobatics, and fire dancers. The celebration will culminate in a dramatic countdown to 2026, followed by a lively afterparty filled with music, movement, and unforgettable energy.
