JW Marriott Maldives Kaafu Atoll Island Resort, located in the largest lagoon of Kaafu Atoll, will welcome guests to celebrate Chinese Golden Week from October 1 to 8, 2025, with a program designed for multi-generational families. The week-long festivities combine culinary experiences, family activities, ocean adventures, and wellness rituals to create memorable moments that bring relatives and friends closer together.

Dining is central to the celebration, with Veyo presenting experiences that honor both Asian and Maldivian traditions. Guests can enjoy an abundant Imperial Flavors buffet dinner and the restaurant’s signature Indian Ocean Night, inspired by the region’s diverse coastal cuisine. Children can participate in interactive sessions such as Mini Spring Roll Making and a Dim Sum Dumpling Class, while evenings on Wahoo Beach offer sunset cocktails paired with Cantonese-inspired canapés and celebratory toasts as the sun sets over the turquoise horizon.

Beyond dining, Golden Week features family-oriented activities designed to inspire creativity and connection. At the Family by JW™ Kids Club, children can take part in Golden Coin Treasure Hunts, crafts inspired by chopsticks, mask and fan decoration, and panda sand art on the beach. Teens can enjoy a table tennis tournament, while families gather for beachside games that encourage shared play. Watersports and the Dive Center offer adventure with kayak races, guided snorkeling trips to Emboodhoo Island, and a half-day Malé City Tour, with kayak race winners receiving a complimentary Sea Bob experience.

Wellness is integrated throughout the celebration, with Spa by JW offering treatments inspired by the season. The Golden Citrus Renewal includes a 60-minute relaxing massage with a Mandarin-infused radiant scrub, while the Golden Couple Escape provides a shared journey of rejuvenation featuring a massage, jade stone facial, and bath ritual accompanied by tea or sparkling wine. Guests can also take part in the Seven Days of Well-Being program, which features sunrise Golden Flow Yoga, Moonlit Meditation, and a selection of workouts ranging from Mat Pilates to High-Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) Burner, complemented by a seasonal herbal tea selection.

“Our Associates are deeply passionate about creating meaningful experiences that resonate across generations,” said Srikanth Devarapalli, General Manager of JW Marriott Maldives Kaafu Atoll Island Resort. “Golden Week is a time of reunion and shared moments, and we look forward to welcoming families and travelers from around the world.”

The resort offers 80 villas, each featuring a private pool and direct access to the Indian Ocean. Guests can choose overwater villas with lagoon steps or beach pool villas set along white sands and tropical greenery, designed to accommodate couples, families, and multi-generational gatherings with comfort and oceanfront views. Visitors can book the Full Board Package and enjoy Complimentary Speedboat Transfers for a seamless Golden Week escape. Reservations can be made until December 10, 2025, for stays through December 15, 2025. More information is available at jwmarriottkaafuatoll.com.
