The Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC/Visit Maldives) has officially launched its largest global initiative, the “World’s Biggest Giveaway,” on January 1st, 2025. Announced at the World Travel Market (WTM) in London on November 5th, 2024, this exciting year-long campaign offers 52 free holidays—one for each week of the year. The Maldives aims to elevate its global reputation as a premier travel destination through this initiative.

The campaign will unfold via a series of monthly contests held across Visit Maldives’ social media platforms. Every month, four lucky winners will be drawn, each receiving incredible raffle prizes. Participants will have the opportunity to experience the Maldives’ unique offerings, from its pristine beaches to its vibrant culture, thrilling diving adventures, luxurious retreats, and much more. The contests will also spotlight key tourism segments, such as romance, luxury, family, diving, and others, ensuring that the Maldives’ diverse attractions are highlighted.

Through the World’s Biggest Giveaway Campaign, Visit Maldives aims to actively engage global travel enthusiasts and promote the destination’s year-round appeal. By encouraging social media participation, the initiative also seeks to provide potential visitors with valuable insights into the Maldives’ tourism offerings, further boosting bookings for the destination.

Visit Maldives remains committed to preserving the country’s standing as the World’s Leading Destination. To achieve this goal in 2025, the organization plans to maintain consistent quarterly activities in the top 25 markets, alongside summer campaigns and a strong public relations push. By forging strong industry partnerships, Visit Maldives is working towards collective success across all initiatives.
