Dhiraagu has strengthened its ongoing partnership with the Care Society, a Maldives-based disability rights organization, by supporting its annual vocational training program for young persons with disabilities. Since the Care Society launched its dedicated vocational training unit in 2018, Dhiraagu has been a consistent supporter, helping empower students through skill-building initiatives. Last Friday, the company backed the "Popup with a Purpose" event at Rasfannu beach in Male’, where students displayed their talents through bakery stalls, arts and crafts corners, and engaging game areas, providing a platform to showcase their creativity and skills.

The Care Society’s 2024 progress report highlighted the success of last year’s program, with 22 students showing significant gains in independence, communication, and social skills. This year, 27 students will participate in the vocational training, focusing on computer literacy, cooking, baking, and arts and crafts to build confidence and promote a more inclusive future. Dhiraagu’s support for such initiatives reflects its Corporate Social Responsibility focus on empowering youth and individuals with disabilities through meaningful community programs.
