Ooredoo Nation has announced the opening of registrations for the inaugural Ooredoo Nation Atoll Esports League, a groundbreaking PUBG Mobile tournament uniting gamers from islands across the Maldives. As the nation’s first esports event where teams represent their home islands, this fully online competition will unfold through four exciting stages: Island Qualifiers, Quarter Finals, Semi Finals, and Grand Finals, showcasing the talent and passion of the Maldives’ gaming community.
Registration for the tournament will run from June 16, 2025, to July 4, 2025, and interested players can sign up via ore.do/atoll-league-pubgm. Teams must consist of at least six players, with those from the same island incorporating the island’s name into their team name, such as ABC Kaashidhoo or DEF Kaashidhoo, to distinguish multiple entries. To ensure inclusivity, each team may include up to two players from outside their represented island, regardless of location or nationality.
The tournament offers a prize pool of MVR 50,000, distributed as follows:
Champions: MVR 25,000
2nd Place: MVR 12,000
3rd Place: MVR 6,000
4th Place: MVR 3,000
MVP: MVR 4,000
This initiative highlights Ooredoo’s dedication to fostering digital platforms that empower youth and strengthen community ties across the Maldives. The Ooredoo Nation Atoll Esports League promises to be a thrilling celebration of local talent, bringing island communities together in a competitive yet unifying quest for esports glory.
