Island Aviation Services Limited (IASL), the operator of the national airline "Maldivian," has reached a major milestone by securing the EASA (European Aviation Safety Agency) Part-145 approval certificate. This achievement positions IASL as the first EASA Part-145 certified organization in the Maldives, significantly enhancing its aircraft maintenance capabilities.
With this certification, IASL is now authorized to provide direct maintenance services for European-registered aircraft, broadening its service offerings and strengthening its role as a trusted maintenance provider for international airlines operating at Velana International Airport (MLE). This approval enables the company to expand its partnerships and attract more global carriers seeking high-quality maintenance solutions.

IASL Engineering currently offers comprehensive maintenance support for a diverse fleet, including Airbus A320 Family, A330, A350, Boeing 737, 767, 777, and 787, as well as Cessna 150/152F, Tecnam P2006T, DHC-6, DHC-8, and ATR-42/72 aircraft.
With over 30 international airlines already utilizing its line maintenance services, the EASA Part-145 certification further strengthens IASL’s position in the global aviation maintenance industry.
