Ooredoo Maldives partnered with the Maldives Financial Expo 2026, held from 2 to 4 July 2026 between 3:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m. each day at Central Park, Hulhumalé.
Organised by the Maldives Monetary Authority, the expo brought together key participants from the financial sector to promote financial literacy, innovation and inclusion.
During the event, Ooredoo Fintech showcased its expanding digital financial ecosystem, including the recently introduced PayPal integration with mFaisaa. The service allows customers to receive USD payments from PayPal directly into their mFaisaa wallet, creating greater opportunities for freelancers, entrepreneurs, SMEs, creators and businesses to participate in the global digital economy.
Ahmed Numan, Head of Fintech at Ooredoo Maldives, also took part in a panel discussion focused on the future of digital payments and financial innovation. During the session, he shared insights into how digital financial services are helping to drive financial inclusion while expanding access to global markets.
Ooredoo also invited members of the public to visit its booth throughout the three-day expo to learn more about mFaisaa and explore how its growing digital financial ecosystem is supporting individuals and businesses across the Maldives.
