Ooredoo Maldives Concludes 2026 Annual General Meeting

AGM approves 2025 financial statements, dividend distribution, and board representation.

The Annual General Meeting (“AGM”) of Ooredoo Maldives Plc (the “Company”) took place last night (Wednesday, 4 th March 2026) at 21:30 hrs. Shareholders joined the meeting both physically and virtually, gathering in person at the Ooredoo Maldives Headquarters in K. Hulhumale’, while others participated online through the Meeting Management System “FahiVote” operated by Maldives Securities Depository Company Pvt Ltd (“MSD”).

A total of 353 (three hundred and fifty-three) Shareholders attended the AGM. Among them, 144 (one hundred and forty four) Shareholders were present in person, while 27 (twenty-seven) Proxyholders represented an additional 209 (two hundred and nine) Shareholders. Altogether, 144,202,029 (one hundred forty four million two hundred and two thousand and twenty-nine) shares were represented at the meeting, accounting for 98% of the Company’s total issued shares.

In line with the AGM agenda, Shareholders approved several key matters. These included the Minutes of the Annual General Meeting held on Sunday, 9 th March 2025, the Audited Financial Statements together with the Auditor’s Report for the year 2025, and the Company’s Directors Report for the year 2025. Shareholders also approved the appointment of KPMG as the Company’s Auditors for the year 2026 along with their remuneration.

Shareholders further approved a dividend distribution of MVR 3.54 (Three Rufiyaa Fifty-Four Laari) per share for the year 2025. The majority Shareholder, Wataniya International FZ-LLC, also approved the re-election and appointment of Fatima Sultan Al-Kuwari to the Board of Directors of Ooredoo Maldives as its representative. The Company extended congratulations on her re-election and appointment and expressed anticipation for her continued guidance and contribution to the Company’s strategic direction and governance.

An election was also held during the AGM to appoint a Director representing the general Shareholders on the Board of Directors. Abdulla Ali was elected to this position. The Company congratulated him on joining the Board and expressed confidence in his contribution to the Company’s continued progress and success. The Company also expressed sincere appreciation to Mohamed Shahid for his service and contributions during his tenure on the Board of Directors.

The Company concluded the meeting by expressing gratitude to its Shareholders for the trust placed in the organisation. It reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening shareholder value and delivering sustainable returns, while contributing to national and community development. The Company also stated its continued focus on supporting a digitally empowered Maldives and providing high-quality services for its customers.
