On September 1, 2025, Sun Siyam, a leading Maldivian hospitality group, celebrated its 35th anniversary by unveiling a transformative rebrand that emphasizes cultural authenticity and modern innovation. The milestone introduces a new brand statement, "The Home of the Maldivian Spirit," which underscores the group’s commitment to showcasing the Maldives’ heritage across its six resorts. This evolution goes beyond aesthetics, launching the Siyam Rewards loyalty program, new Signature Experiences, and a unified portfolio organized into three distinct collections: Luxury, Privé, and Lifestyle, all accessible through a redesigned website at sunsiyam.com.

The rebrand unifies Sun Siyam’s five Maldivian properties and one Sri Lankan retreat under The House of Siyam. The Luxury Collection, led by Sun Siyam Iru Fushi, offers premium exclusivity and serene indulgence. The Lifestyle Collection, including Sun Siyam Olhuveli and Siyam World, caters to vibrant, adventure-seeking guests with diverse entertainment options. The Privé Collection, comprising Sun Siyam Iru Veli, Sun Siyam Vilu Reef, and Sun Siyam Pasikudah in Sri Lanka, provides intimate, bespoke escapes for those seeking privacy and romance.

New Signature Experiences enrich every guest’s stay with immersive cultural and modern offerings. Maldivian Roots celebrates local heritage through weekly culinary and storytelling events, while the Insta Villa, the Maldives’ first overwater photo studio, delivers stunning six-star moments. The rebrand was executed with expertise from JHAGGER&CO, who led a year-long project rooted in audience research and vision realignment, alongside StudioSixty7’s Lee McNichol and Jose Rivero, who refreshed interior environments, and Maldives hospitality pioneer Dominik Ruhl, who developed new operational standards and experiences. Led by VP of Operations Abdulla Thamheed and supported by the brand, sales, marketing, and public relations teams, the result is a vibrant, modern design system that retains its Maldivian essence.
