The Dhiraagu Maldives Junior Open 2025 badminton tournament will launch tomorrow, September 1, and run through September 6 at Kulhivaru Ekuveni Badminton Hall in the Maldives. Organized by The Badminton Club, this event will see 347 young athletes from eight countries, including 30 international players, compete in 733 matches. It serves as a dynamic platform for emerging badminton talent to shine.

The tournament is structured across six age categories—under 9, under 11, under 13, under 15, and under 19—allowing young players at different stages to showcase their skills. A Para/Special Olympics category is also included, reinforcing the event’s commitment to inclusivity by providing a competitive stage for athletes of all abilities.

Dhiraagu, the tournament’s main sponsor, remains dedicated to advancing sports in the Maldives, with a strong emphasis on fostering healthier and more active communities.
